Anne Adaway, 57, of Port Arthur, died Friday, October 26, 2012, at Christus Hospital  St. Mary, Port Arthur. She was born on July 5, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, to Betty Rankin McNeil and Walter McNeil. Anne worked as a cosmetologist for many years. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing bingo.

Survivors include her brother, Daniel McNeil of Hot Springs, Arkansas; sister, Sharon Marenger of Sault St. Marie, Ontario, Canada; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Anne is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Scott Walter McNeil.

A gathering of Ms. Adaway’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Christian Vigil beginning at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 28, 2012, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 29, 2012, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
