Maurice “M.C.” Castille, 92, of Port Neches, died Sunday, October 21, 2012. Born September 12, 1920, in Sabine, Texas, he was the son of Celima Rees Castille and Albert Maurice Castille. A United States Army veteran, M.C. was employed as a clerk with Gulf/Chevron, having worked over thirty-three years before his retirement.  He enjoyed bowling, golfing and traveling. M.C. was an overall happy person who was full of life, loved people, and most of all loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his children, Catherine Ann Castille Nichols and her husband, Jerry, and Clayton Rees Castille; grandchildren, Dayna Lynn Nichols Withers and her husband, Wyatt, Lauren Leigh Nichols, Lindsey Beth Castille and Laura Anne Castille; great-grandchildren, Jace Vasquez, Addison Withers, Emerie Withers and Kaycee Castille.

M.C. is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Maribeth Castille.

A gathering of Mr. Castille’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Christian Vigil at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 2006 Nall Street, Port Neches, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
