Jay Hise, 68, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Memorial Hermann Medical Center in Houston. He was born on June 27, 1944, to Shirley Gibson Hise and Joseph Wirt Hise, Jr. in Fort Worth. He recently retired as owner of Brian’s Place Sandwich Shop in the San Jancinto Building.

Survivors include his wife, Julie Hise; daughter, Allison Hise Jacobs; sons, Cullen Hise and his wife, Meredith, all of Beaumont; and Hunter Hise of New York, New York; grandchildren, Madison Jacobs, Avery Hise, and William Hise; and mother-in-law, Mary Lou Terry.

He is preceded in death his parents.

A gathering of Mr. Hise’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 19, 2012, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3430 Harrison Avenue, with Neal Nichols, Adam Nichols, Patrick Ware and Cullen Hise serving as honorary pallbearers. His committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
