Roy Salvadore Cappadona, 72, of Bridge City, died at his home, Monday, October 8, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 19, 1939, to Rosie Lee Girolamo and Roy Cappadona in Port Arthur. Roy worked through I. B. E. W. Local #479 as an electrician for fifty years. He was a man who loved his family and friends. His nieces and nephews adored him because of the life savers he carried in his pockets for them. Roy is survived by his loving wife of twenty-four years, Anna Mitchell Cappadona of Bridge City; son, Ross Cappadona and his wife, Debbie, of Little Cypress; daughter, Debby Cappadona and her husband, Graham Hindley, of Livermore, California; sister, Mary Young and her husband, Larry, of Lumberton; grandchildren, Griffin and Caroline Snow; mother-in-law of whom he adored, Virgina Mitchell; nieces, Nikki Dearbonne, Melissa Dearbonne, Kendal Roehl and Amber Roehl; nephews, Brad Dearbonne and Kevin Roehl; great nieces, Camdyn Simmons, Brailiegh Dearbonne, Shelby Picou and Camry Roehl; great-nephews, Tyler Winckler, Brady Dearbonne and Kolton Roehl; sister-in-laws, Lisa Lovett and her husband, David O’Quinn; Sheryl Roehl and her husband, Kenny; special family friend, Jackie Harris; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and father-in-law, A. O. “Mitch” Mitchell, of whom he had the greatest admiration and respect. A gathering of Mr. Cappadona’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 12, 2012, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
