Helen Ann Richmond 
February 8, 1915 - October 6, 2012

Helen Ann Richmond, 97, of Beaumont, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012.  She was born February 8, 1915, in Beaumont, to Alma Kojak Debes and Reverend Gabriel Debes.  

 

Helen was a lifetime resident of Beaumont where she lived with her husband Raymond.  They owned and operated Ray’s Food Town in Silsbee for over thirty-five years.  She had a passion for cooking Lebanese sweets and meals for her family. However, she will always be remembered for her cakes that she made every Sunday.  Helen was a lifelong member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.

 

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Billie Debes; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Raymond Richmond; siblings, Lillie Belle Buchanan, Edna Mamo, Margaret Husbands, Rhoda Carter, Alice Arledge, and Jim Debes, Jr.

 

A gathering of Mrs. Richmond’s family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  Her funeral service will be 12:00 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 2012, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 680 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
