Betty J. Pollick
July 22, 1930 - September 29, 2012

Betty J. Pollick, 82, of Nacogdoches, died Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation, Beaumont. She was a retired home health caregiver.

Betty was born on July 22, 1930, in McAlester, Oklahoma, to Lonnie Fay Boyd Niblett and Jewel Rudolph Niblett. She always enjoyed helping others, expecting nothing in return. She truly had a servant’s heart. Her greatest joy was being “Maw Bet” to grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty’s family was her treasure here on earth. She was very active in her church in Nacogdoches and loved studying her bible and praying for others. Betty had a fondness for butterflies, and she also liked playing bingo. It wasn’t about the prizes, but about the people who gathered there.

She is survived by her son, William “Bill” Sethman and his wife, Betty, of Nacogdoches; daughter, JoAnn Cole of Beaumont; grandchildren, Ronnie Sethman, Odie Sethman, and Elizabeth Sethman; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Charlie Joe Niblett and his wife, Cathy; and sisters, Wynoma Votaw and Mary Ann Jones and her husband, Charlie.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Travis Niblett, Clarence Niblett, Royce “Pete” Niblett; and sister, Billie Ruth.

A committal for Mrs. Pollick will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 4, 2012, at Broussard’s Crematorium, 5150 Stivers, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Texas Paralyzed Veterans, 2656 South Loop West #130, Houston, Texas 77054.
