Ellen “Aggie” Roberts Ott, 65, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Harbor Hospital of Southeast Texas, Beaumont.

She was born on July 22, 1947, in Beaumont, to Ellen Agnes Roberts and William B. Roberts. Aggie spent her forty-three year working career in Beaumont, Colorado City, and Houston. She retired in 2010 after a diverse working career as a cashier, teacher, motorcycle repairman, mechanical engineer, and a substance abuse counselor.

Aggie graduated from Forest Park High School in 1965. She then attended Lamar University and University of Houston, where she received bachelor degrees in teaching, Mechanical Engineering and Psychology.  She also went on to obtain a Master of Education in Counseling and Development degree. When not working, Aggie loved to travel in her RV, do crafts, read, and spend time with her family.

She is survived by her brother, Bill Roberts and his wife, Marilyn, of Maryland Heights, Missouri; sister, Ruth Lamb and her husband, Randy, of Magnolia; sister-in-law, Becky Roberts of Sour Lake; nephew, Greg Roberts and his wife, Janilyn, of Beaumont; niece, Kristi Lamb; and nephew, Jason Lamb, both of Magnolia; and great-nieces, Olivia Roberts and Caroline Roberts, both of Beaumont.

Aggie is preceded in death by her parents; husband of seventeen years, C. J. Ott; and brother, Walter Lee Roberts.

A gathering of Mrs. Ott’s family and friends will be 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
