Margie Ruth Stark, 77, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on May 14, 1935, in Nacogdoches, to Maidie Seago Koonce and Buren Koonce, and had been a lifelong resident of the area.

Margie is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Denny Stark; sons, Jimmy Stark and his wife, Tammy; and Gary Stark and his wife, Dana, all of Beaumont; grandchildren, Daniel Stark, Hannah Stark, and Caroline Stark; sisters, Clara Lackey of Beaumont and Millie Elliott of Nacogdoches; brother, Tommy Koonce of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A gathering of Mrs. Stark’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
