Herman O. Miller

Herman O. Miller, 80, of Nederland, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on March 22, 1932, to Lizzie and John Miller in Hemphill, and had been a resident of the area for over sixty years. Herman was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in the Korean War. He worked as a pipefitter for over thirty years with various refineries and was a member of Pipefitters Local #195. Herman also was an active member of Mid-County Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing dominoes.

 

Survivors include his son, Wesley Miller and his wife, Suzanne, of Plano; daughter, Diann Langston and her husband, Roy, of Kountze; grandchildren, Meagan, Caitlin, Alaine and Gillian Miller and Tracy Hughes; great-grandchildren, Tanner and Trinity Hughes; and his favorite companion, Troubles.

 

Herman is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mabel Miller; son, Lyle Miller; four brothers; and three sisters.

 

A gathering of Mr. Miller’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
