Connie Ruth Wills Pousson, 82, of Nederland, died Monday, September 17, 2012. She was born on July 4, 1930, in Port Neches, to Ruth Gregory Wills and Peter Wills, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Throughout her years of employment, Connie worked at various places, including the cafeteria at Nederland High School, and also as a title clerk for the county courthouse. She also participated as a volunteer with the Pink Ladies at Park Place Hospital and Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. Connie enjoyed spending her spare time playing bingo, but most of all, loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived her sons, Charles Pousson and his wife, Carolyn, of Fred; Bobby Pousson and his wife, Sherry, of Mauriceville; and Johnny Pousson and his wife, Shantale, of LaBelle; daughter, Donna Lane and her husband, Joe, of Nederland; grandchildren, Holly, Tiffany, Jessica, Julie, Jamie, Brittany, Harley, Samantha, Veronica, and Hunter; great-grandchildren, Jake, Ian, Thomas, Rylea and Anjolea; and brothers, Tom Wills and his wife, Elizabeth, of Nederland; and Dennis Wills and his wife, Roberta, of Port Neches.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, W.C. “Dub” Pousson; five brothers; one half-sister; and granddaughter, Amber Pousson.

A gathering of Mrs. Pousson’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2012, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
