Steve Anthony Geraci, Sr. “Uncle Son”, 87, of Beaumont, passed from this Earth on Thursday, September 13, 2012, at Calder Woods, in Beaumont. Born in Beaumont, on November 13, 1924, to Patricia Girolamo Geraci and William Charles Geraci, he was an instrument mechanic for DuPont Beaumont Works.

Steve enjoyed working in his very large garden and loved the outdoors. One of his most favorite times were spent with all of his beloved family gathered at the dinner table where he spoke a prayer before each meal. Family was important to Steve and he cherished each gathering. Steve will always be remembered for his beautiful smile and warm greeting for everyone.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Peggy Geraci of Beaumont; sons, Stephen Anthony Geraci, Jr. and his wife, Brenda, of Houston; Danny Geraci and his wife, Edie, of Nederland; and Gary Geraci and Jerome Geraci, both of Beaumont; grandchildren, Stephen Geraci III; Aaron Geraci; Miranda Geraci; Stacey Breezeel and her husband, Justin; James Geraci; and brother, Joseph Geraci and his wife, Rosemary, of Lufkin.

He is preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Geraci.

A Christian Vigil for Mr. Geraci will be 6:00 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2012, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 15, 2012, at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica, 700 Jefferson Street, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
