Ferrel Martin Rayon, 57, of Beaumont, died on Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, Houston.

He was born on March 29, 1955, in Port Arthur, to Gloria Tolar Rayon and Earl Frances Rayon, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Ferrel was a United States Air Force veteran and an avid hunter.

Survivors include his son, Jared Rayon and his wife, Allison; grandchild, Cheyenne Rayon, all of Kentucky; sisters, Leslie Rayon Trahan and her husband, Jerry, of San Antonio; Kelvie Rayon Thrasher and her husband, Jerry, of Oklahoma; and Nannette Rayon Debes and her husband, Sam, of Beaumont.

Ferrel is preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of Mr. Rayon’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 13, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 14, 2012, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
