Keltus C. Humble 
November 1, 1930 - September 9, 2012

 

Keltus Humble, 81, of Nederland, died Sunday, September 9, 2012, at Mid-Jefferson Extended Care, Nederland.  He was born November 1, 1930, to Edith Bowers Humble and Bluet Humble in Port Arthur, and had been a lifelong resident of the area.

 

Keltus was a United States Air Force veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. He worked as an operator for thirty-eight years, before retiring from B. F. Goodrich. Keltus was a fifty year member of the Port Neches Masonic Lodge # 1163, A.F. & A.M., Port Neches Chapter # 436, Beaumont Council # 126, and Beaumont Commandery # 38. In his spare time, Keltus enjoyed gardening, woodworking and helping his friends and family.

 

He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Nelda Humble; brother, Bluet Paul Humble and his wife, Ila Faye, of Jasper; brother-in-law, Allie “Butch” Howard, Sr. of Nederland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Keltus is preceded in death by his parents; son, Brad Carlyle Humble; and brother, Jack A. Humble, Sr.

 

A gathering of Mr. Humble’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.  His graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, 101 Block Street, Port Neches.
