Barbara Jean Holcomb Dunaway, 73, of Nederland, died Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. Born December 12, 1938, to Eula Dean Key Holcomb and William Holcomb in Rusk, she was a retired educational diagnostician with Little Cypress-Mauriceville Independent School District. Barbara enjoyed the outdoors, especially working on her lawn. She was a Christian lady and was involved with several churches in the area.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Jean Dunaway Judice and her husband, Jean Matthew, of Nederland; grandchildren, Joshua Matthew Judice, William Paul Judice, Jean Matthew Judice, Jr. and lifelong friend, Jack Howell.

A gathering of Mrs. Dunaway’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
