James W. Bennett, 74, of Beaumont, died Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on January 19, 1938, in Cross City, Florida, to Lessie Parish Bennett and James Frank Bennett, and had been a longtime resident of the area. James was a United States Army veteran and he owned and operated Benco Supply Company.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Lucille Bennett; and daughter, Jamie Wilson and her husband, Troy, all of Beaumont; and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, and extended family members.

A Rosary for Mr. Bennett will be recited 5:30 p.m., Monday, September 3, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, with entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
