Russell Floyd Dunn, age 95, of Lubbock, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012. He was born to Russell and Lottie Dunn, September 14, 1916, Sunflower County, Mississippi. Floyd married Madelle Hamilton in Houston in 1939. He worked as a welder with Glen McCarthy Oil and Gas. He later became the owner of R. F. Dunn Welding Service in Winnie. Floyd moved to Lubbock in 1986, and was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren, and loved eating out with friends. Floyd is survived by his son, Dr. Jerry Dunn and his wife, Sandy of Lubbock; four grandchildren, Deborah Hunt and her husband, Karl of Lubbock; Donna Howey and her husband, Tom of Brownwood; Stacy Baker and her husband, Marty of Lubbock; Stephen Dunnand his fiancé, Dara Mongelli of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Chance Hunt and his wife, Nicci, Kyle Hunt, Tanner Hunt, Kurt Hunt, Keith Howey and his wife, Texanna, Lauren Howey, Jarrod Howey and Cooper Howey; great-great-granddaughter, Bryndal Hunt. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Madelle; two sisters, Edna May and Nola Weaver. A gathering of Mr. Dunn’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 31, 2012, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale, Houston.
