Alice Faye Hendrickson 
April 23, 1939 - August 22, 2012

Alice Faye Hendrickson, 73, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. Born April 23, 1939, in Corinth, Mississippi, to Gladys Reardon McCarter and Elbert William Jobe, she lived in the Beaumont area for the past thirty years. Alice was a beloved wife, mother, and a partner in her husband’s ministry for fifty years. She was a teacher to students and fellow teachers for forty-nine years, recognized by Lamar University as a Master Supervising Teacher. She also was a member of the 1956 Mississippi Women’s State Basketball Championship team and a Daughter of the American Revolution.

 

She is survived by her husband and partner in life, Dr. Marion Hendrickson; children, Martha Parrott and her husband, Steven, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and their children, Lauren, Kelsey, and Aaron; Allison Quirk and her husband, Robert, of Arlington; Paul Hendrickson and his wife, Teresa, of Hawley, and their sons, Jordyn and Hadyn; and Mark Hendrickson and his wife, Nanette, of Clinton, Oklahoma, and their son, Samuel.

 

Alice is preceded in death by her parents; and her son, John Mark Hendrickson.

 

A gathering of Alice’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 24, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her Memorial Celebration will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Winnie-Stowell Church of Christ, 2559 Highway 124, Winnie, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Winnie.
