O. E. “Bud” Robinson, 79, of Lumberton, died Thursday, August 16, 2012. He was born on May 7, 1933, in Edinburgh, to Iona Lee McMillon Robinson and L. Lee Robinson, and had been a resident of the area most of his life. Bud was a United States Army veteran having served in the Korean War, and was a retired welder with Bethlehem Steel.
He is survived by his sister, Shirley Robinson Williams of Lumberton; sister-in-law, Martha Price Robinson of Paris; nieces, Karen Williams Parsley of Lumberton and Valerie Featherstone of Paris; nephews, Robert C. Williams of Lumberton and William “Bill” Robinson of Paris; six great-nephews; and seven great-nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lee Robinson, Jr.; and nephew, Floyd Williams.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Texas Home Health Hospice for their care and compassion.
A committal for Mr. Robinson was at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Plum Ridge Baptist Church in Zavalla.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Plum Ridge Baptist Church, 1656 Plum Ridge Road, Zavalla, Texas 75980.
