Bruce McPherson, Sr., 80, of Nederland, died Thursday, August 16, 2012. He was born on October 20, 1931, to Annie and Rector Clark McPherson in Energy, Texas, and had been a resident of the area for sixty years. Bruce was a retired operator, having worked at Neches Butane/Texaco refinery.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marion McPherson of Nederland; daughter, Mickie Emmett and her husband, Lane, of Port Neches; son, Bruce McPherson, Jr. and his wife, Joleain, of Nederland; grandchildren, Jolie Williams and her husband, Greg; Jandy Brentlinger and her husband, Stephen; Ben McPherson; and Toni McPherson; and great-grandchildren, Isaac Williams and Bryce Brentlinger.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of Mr. McPherson’s family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 19, 2012, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.  His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 20, 2012, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
