Clarence Ray Anderson, 58, of Silsbee, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Silsbee Oaks Healthcare.  A native of Kountze; Clarence had lived for twenty years in Buna under the loving care of his sister, Marie before moving to the nursing home in 2010.  He was born on September 19, 1953, to Irene Laird Anderson and Thomas Jefferson Anderson.

Clarence is survived by his brothers, Leamon Anderson and his wife, Velma, of Toledo Bend; Thomas Anderson and his wife, Sue, of Saratoga; J.D. Anderson and his wife, Gwen, of Fannett; Mitchell Anderson and his wife, Penny, of Village Mills; Leroy Anderson and his wife, Marilyn; James Anderson and his wife, Reba; Dwight Anderson and his wife, Linda; A.J. Anderson and his wife, Linda; Lester Anderson; and Alton Anderson and his wife, Lisa, all of Kountze; sisters, Marie Eaves and Ruth Herrington, both of Buna, and Martha Douty and her husband, Doug of Zachary, Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William, Gilbert, and Chester; sister, Jewel; sister-in-law, Ruth Anderson; and brother-in-law, Robert “Buddy” Eaves.

Clarence was very special to his family and everyone who met him.  He had more than just his immediate family; he had his Silsbee Oaks Nursing Home family.  The family would like to thank the nursing home for the special care and love you gave to Clarence.  We know he kept you all on your toes!  He will truly be missed by all.

A gathering of Mr. Anderson’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 2, 2012, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Hooks Cemetery, Kountze.
