Preston “Jimmy” Premeaux, Jr., 57, of Hamshire died Saturday, July 28, 2012, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston.  A native of Beaumont, Jimmy was born August 24, 1954, the son of Joan Stevens Premeaux and Preston James Premeaux, Sr.  Jimmy was an iron worker and a member of Nederland Masonic Lodge #1368.  He enjoyed his children and grandchildren’s sports, fishing and forever remodeling his old homestead.

He is survived by his mother, Joan Premeaux of Nederland; daughters, Jamie Fells and her husband, David, of Hutto and Jessica Gregory and her husband, Dennis, of Houston; son, Joshua Premeaux of Nederland; sister, Julie Lang and her husband, Waymond, of Nederland; brother, Joel Premeaux of Galveston; grandchildren, Natalie Fells, Noah Fells, and Nathan Gregory; and caring and longtime friend, Evelyn Fontenot.  Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Preston James Premeaux, Sr.

A gathering of Jimmy’s family and friends will be Tuesday evening, July 31, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.  His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Broussard’s Chapel followed by burial at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
