Willie Mae (Billie) Wilson, 80, of Nederland, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont, following a long illness. She was born May 24, 1932, in McComb, Mississippi to Mabel Stewart Bellue and Percy Irwin Bellue. Billie was a graduate of Lamar University and a retired teacher with the Port Arthur Independent School District. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, William Ellis Wilson; son, William Ellis Wilson, Jr.; daughter, Robin Ann Wilson; and brothers, James Bellue and Charles Bellue. Survivors include her daughter, Hope Weber of Fort Worth; sons, Brad Wilson and his wife, Janet of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Pat Wilson and his wife, Lisa of Nederland. She was a loving and devoted grandmother to Colin Weber and his wife, Jennifer of Houston, Arin Thompson and her husband, Ryan of Nederland, Bradley Wilson and Christopher Wilson of Crown Point, Indiana, and Patrick Wilson and Jack Wilson of Nederland. Billie is also survived by her sisters, Peggy Walker and her husband, Joe of Beaumont, Laverne Allen of Natchitoches, Louisiana, Mavourleen Shoefstall of Nederland, and LaNell Brast and her husband, Eldon of Dallas. A gathering of Mrs. Wilson’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2012, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests memorial contributions be made to American Diabetes Association, 2400 Augusta Drive, Suite 175, Houston, Texas, 77057.
