David Edward Vines 
April 29, 1991 - July 16, 2012

Private First Class David Edward Vines, 21, formerly of Beaumont, departed this life on Monday, July 16, 2012. David was on active duty in the United States Army stationed at Fort Lee, Virginia, at the time of his death.

 

David was a loving son; loyal and caring friend; and a fine and very proud soldier.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

 

Survivors include his mother, Mary Lynn Vines; and brother, Randolph Vines, both of Beaumont; grandfather, Ronald Vines and his wife, Diane of Jasper; uncle, Ronald Duce Vines and his wife, Elizabeth, of Thousand Oaks, California; great-grandmother, Freida Vines of Mena, Arkansas; great-uncles, Retired Captain Raymond J. Daigle, United States Army of Groves; and William Sutton and his wife, Isabel, of Needville; great-aunt, Linda Ogden and her husband, J. C., of Houston; great-great-aunt, Gwen Mercer of Beaumont; and numerous cousins.

 

A gathering of PFC Vines’ family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Monday, July 23, 2012, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m., Monday, July 23, 2012, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
