Ella Louise Smith, 68, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on February 12, 1944, in Beaumont, to Viola M. Meeks Smith and Albert W. Smith, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. A proud greenie having graduated from South Park High School, Louise was a United States Army veteran.

She loved God with all her heart, mind, and soul. Louise enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren, as she loved them all very much.Louise loved her church family and was very involved at her church, especially with the children’s ministry.

Survivors include her daughter, Jamie Gaspard and her husband, Mark, of League City; grandchildren, Cameron Wilson and Trey Wilson; sister, Bettie Turpin of Kingwood; and a host of other loving family members.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Christ Covenant Church, 6390 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
