Carrol "Mace" Mason 
December 4, 1932 - July 15, 2012

Carroll “Mace” Mason, 79, of Bridge City, formerly of Clovis, New Mexico, died Sunday, July 15, 2012. He was born on December 4, 1932, in Washington D.C., to Laura Tarwarter Mason and Irving Mason. Carroll was a student at Eastern New Mexico University. A veteran of the United States Navy, he served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars, and for fifteen years he lived overseas in the Far East, while deployed. Carroll was a member of V.F.W. #3280, and American Legion Post 25, both in Clovis, New Mexico. He was also a member of Winfree Baptist Church, Bridge City.

 

Survivors include his wife, Rosalinda Mason; and daughter, Linda Garlaska and her husband, Jason, all of Bridge City; grandchildren, Kade, Kyler, and Camrin; brother, Ben Mason and his wife, Patricia, of Taos, New Mexico; brother-in-law, Willie Entila and his wife, Belen, of Clovis, New Mexico; nephews, Warren Worley and Wilby and Wally Entila; and nieces, Laura Lynn Timmons, Charla Diane Kelly, and April Ann Leyendecker.

 

Carroll is preceded in death by his parents.

 

A committal for Mr. Mason was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, 5150 Stivers Drive, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
