Annette O’Shell Polite, 94, of Beaumont, died Friday, July 13, 2012, in Beaumont. She was born on May 2, 1918, in Beaumont, to Grace Canizaro and Mitchell O’Shell. She was a self-employed grocer and later a salesperson at Charles S. Nacol Jewelry.

Survivors include her brother, Dr. Vincent J. O’Shell and his wife, Dyckie, of Beaumont; sister, Marja O’Shell of Beaumont; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Joseph Polite.

A gathering of Mrs. Polite’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2012, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at St. Anne Church, 2715 Calder, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
