Wesley Don Cawley, 76, of Port Neches, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born January 14, 1936, in Ranger, to Exia Juanita Speer and Clifton M. Cawley. Don worked as Chief Research and Development Engineer and part owner of Sage Automation, Inc., Beaumont; and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Port Neches. Don is survived by his wife, Camille Yount Cawley of Port Neches; Lyska Hambrick Placette of Nederland, mother of his four children, Clifton M. Cawley and his wife, Karen, of Nederland; Donna Cawley Erickson of Nacogdoches; Carmen Cawley Fong and her husband, Steve; and Rebecca Cawley, all of San Antonio; Camille’s children, Angela Yount Berry and her husband, Robert, of Stephenville; and Ericha Jensen Kemm and her husband, Karl of Corpus Christi; grandchildren, Jennifer Cawley, Patrick Huffstetler, Jena Huffstetler Aldredge, Matthew Fong, David Fong, Alexandria (Alee) Eisman, Sarah Berry, Jacob Berry, and Adelaide Ruby Kemm; great-grandchildren, Paul Aldredge and Lukas Aldredge; sisters, Jaynet Baye and her husband, Firmin, of Sunrise Beach; Helen Dement and her husband, Bruce, of Roanoke; and Gail Showalter and her husband, Sam, of Nederland. He is preceded in death by his parents. A gathering of Don’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 13, 2012, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2012, at First Baptist Church, 1900 Magnolia Avenue, Port Neches, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
