Robert Henry Bower, 81, of Bevil Oaks, died Friday, July 6, 2012 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born July 29, 1930, in Beaumont, to Mattie Holst Bower and Lacy Eugene Bower, and had been a lifelong resident of the Beaumont area. Robert was a United States Navy veteran, and was a retired electrician from IBEW Local #479, after sixty years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Loyce Bower; son, Robert Bower of Bevil Oaks; daughter, Becky White and her husband, Allen, of Sugar Land; grandsons, Captain Grant White of Fort Benning, Georgia and Lieutenant Tyler White of Fort Riley, Kansas; sister, Faye Plummer of Beaumont; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.

A gathering of Mr. Bower’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 9, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
