Emily Beth McShan, devoted wife and loving mother, went to meet her Heavenly Father on Monday, July 2, 2012. She was born on June 15, 1936, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Mable Bessie Teddlie and Albert Williford, and had been a resident of Sour Lake most of her life.

Emily's love and memories will remain in the hearts of Doug McShan, husband of fifty-six years; children, Sherry Stallings of Beaumont; Sandra McShan and Tom Schwab of Sour Lake; Jim McShan and his wife, Jamie; and Doug W. McShan and his wife, Monica, all of Houston; brother, David Williford of Sour Lake; the sunshine of Emily's life her precious grandchildren, Jerry McShan and his wife, Jennifer; Curtis Stallings and his wife, Stefanie; Andrea Shinn and her husband, Jeremy; Troy Mauney II and his wife, Lexie; Shandi McShan; Callie Callesto and her husband, Ryan; Sarah McShan and Chance McShan; great-grandchildren, Brayden and Bryleigh McShan, Jace Shinn, and Micah Stallings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bucky Williford; and sisters, Iva Lee Broadwater and Joyce Wilson.

A time to share memories and reflect with Mrs. McShan's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  Her funeral celebration will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 6, 2012, at First Baptist Church, 765 6th Street, Sour Lake, with interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
