Huey Pierce Bundick, 82, of Fannett, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont, after a lengthy illness.  He was surrounded by his family and welcomed into heaven by his Heavenly Father, his wife, his parents, his brothers, and sister who had gone on before him.

Huey was born on April 10, 1930, to Jodie Murff Bundick and Lawrence Bundick in Branch, Louisiana, but spent most of his adult life in the Fannett area.

Survivors include his children, Duane Bundick and his wife, Marie, of Fannett; Donnie Bundick and his wife, Sheila, of Beaumont; Jodie Solleder of Vidor; and Wesley Bundick and his wife, Chris, of Houston; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Delores Bundick of Beaumont; and a host of nephews and nieces.

A gathering of Mr. Bundick’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 29, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2012,  at Church on the Rock North,  8060 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont. Interment will be 2:30 p.m., at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery, 1138 Academy Road, Eunice, Louisiana. He will be carried to his final resting place by his grandsons, Kevin Bundick, Bruce Bundick, Jason Solleder, Jason Picou, Stephen Bundick, and Eulalio O’Campo.
