Maude Anna McElwee Doyle, 71, of Port Arthur, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, from a lengthy illness with family and friends by her side. Born August 6, 1940, to Jessie Bell Lowe McElwee and Henry Grady McElwee, she had been a lifelong resident of the area. Maude enjoyed cooking, fishing, being outdoors, and could grow anything. She loved her Lord, children and grandchildren dearly and always wanted her family around her.

Maude is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, Harry Jae Doyle; daughters, Diana Wyble and her husband, Jimmy, of Nederland; Cynthia Guy and her husband, Kevin, of Port Arthur; and Melissa Breaux and her husband, Wendell, of Fannett; son, Harry J. Doyle and his wife, Kimberly, of Fannett; grandchildren, Blaine Saile of Norfolk, Virginia, Joshua Saile of Port Arthur, Brent Wyble of Nederland, Scott Wyble of Austin, Breanna Breaux and Blake Breaux, both of Fannett, and Jessica Doyle of Fannett; and sister, Helen “Poochie” Broussard of Lafayette, Louisiana.

She is preceded by her parents; two sisters; and two brothers.

A gathering of Mrs. Doyle’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 22, 2012, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Beech Creek Cemetery, Spurger.
