Stein Cloy, 76, of Village Mills, died on Monday, June 18, 2012, at Christus Hospital St Elizabeth, Beaumont. Born on March 30, 1936, in Siciley Island, Louisiana, to Mary Ella Foley Cloy and Richard Frank Cloy, he had been a longtime resident of Village Mills.
Stein was a 1954 graduate of South Park High School and retired from Pipeline Local 798 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as welder, business agent, and inspector.
Survivors include his wife, Jeri Cloy; daughters, Terry Cloy of Beaumont, Lou Ann Cloy of Village Mills, and Bonnie Wilson and her husband, Shannon, of Beaumont; brother, Danny Cloy of Weatherford; grandsons, T.J. Wakefield, Caleb Wakefield, Kelsey Wakefield, Zach Lundy, Dylan Lundy, and Riley Cloy; and great-grandchildren, Noah Dalton, Jake Wakefield, Gavin Wakefield, and Katie Wakefield.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jon Cloy.
A gathering of Mr. Cloy’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze. His funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 22, 2012, at Wildwood-Village Mills United Methodist Church, 5943 FM 3063, Village Mills, with interment to follow at Village Mills Cemetery, Village Mills.
