Jerimah Charles “Buck” Smith, 72, of Kountze, died on June 15, 2012. Born on August 15, 1939, in Spurger, he was the son of Mary Ruth Best Smith and Henry Washington Smith. Buck was a self employed carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Smith; children, Jeff Smith, Jamey Smith and his wife, Jennifer, Jada Smith, and Jason Smith, and his wife, Annie, all of Kountze; brother, Sammy Smith of Lumberton; grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Hunter Smith, Clayton Smith, Jackson Smith, Brooklyn Smith, Ireland Smith, Lane Smith, Mikel Gage Smith, and Jada Lynn Smith; and great-grandson, Kaiden Smith. He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Lynn Smith; brother, Henry Earl Smith; and sisters, Betty Winger and Dorothy Price.

A gathering of Mr. Smith’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday evening, June 17, 2012, at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze.  His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 18, 2012, at Broussard’s followed by committal services at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Cemetery in Woodville.
