Betty Jane Wilcox LeBlanc, 73, of Fannett, died Thursday, June 14, 2012, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. She was born on October 28, 1938, to Lessie Jewel Funderberk Wilcox and Alvin George Wilcox, in Deridder, Louisiana. Betty Jane retired from Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth as a secretary for social services and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Fannett. Betty Jane would have been married fifty-three years to L.T. on December 18th of this year. She is survived by her husband, L.T. LeBlanc; daughter, Jandy VanGelder and her husband, Kirby, of Covington, Louisiana; sons, Bubba LeBlanc and his wife, Renee, of Fannett; Joel LeBlanc, of Fannett; Darren LeBlanc and his wife, Patty, of China; Johnnie LeBlanc and his wife, Vikie, of Beaumont; and Lonnie LeBlanc and his wife, Jennifer, of Abita Springs, Louisiana; sisters, Janette Callahan and her husband, Earl Wayne, of Fannett; Gleta Faye Bonura, of Covington, Louisiana; and Glenda Keller and her husband, Mike, of Kentwood, Louisiana; and brother, David Wilcox and his wife, Gayle, of Denham Springs, Louisiana; twenty-one grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Betty Jane is preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Allen Wilcox; brothers-in-law, Bub Taylor and Larry LeBlanc; and sister-in-law, Mary Belle Loup. A Christian Vigil for Mrs. LeBlanc will be at 6:00 p.m., with a gathering of her family and friends to follow, Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 18, 2012, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 9894 Gilbert Road, Fannett, with interment to follow at Landrum Cemetery, Fannett.
