John Edward Maggio, 52, of Gonzales, Louisiana, and formerly of Beaumont, died Monday, May 28, 2012.  He was born on December 30, 1959, in Beaumont, to Louise Maggio and Louis Edward Maggio.

In 1979, John started working at GHX Incorporated. He enjoyed fishing, boating, listening to rock music, and always lived life to the fullest.

John is survived by his mother, Louise Maggio of Port Arthur; sisters, Pauline Youmans of Nederland; Jane Ericsson and her husband, Arthur of Houston; and Patricia Hensley and her husband, Roger of Port Arthur; brothers, David Maggio of New Mexico and Joe Maggio of Beaumont; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of Mr. Maggio’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Christian Vigil at 6:00 p.m., Friday, June 1, 2012, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.  His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
