Martha Ruth Robinson 
July 18, 1938 - May 22, 2012

Martha Ruth Robinson, 73, of Wildwood, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. Born on July 18, 1938, in Beaumont, to Marjorie Coker Beckner and Malcolm L. Beckner, she had been a longtime resident of Wildwood.

 

Martha graduated from French High in 1956, and then went on to graduate from Lamar University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She worked as a school teacher for Hamshire-Fannett Independent School District until she retired. Martha loved spending time with her family, church, and friends.

 

Survivors include her husband of fifty-five years, Arnold Robinson; son, Keith Robinson of San Antonio; daughter, Lynda Robinson of Phoenix, Arizona; granddaughters, Lauren Robinson and Elise Robinson; brothers, Tom Fitzgerald and Jerry Fitzgerald, both of Tyler; and sisters, Marilyn English of Simpsonville, South Carolina and Miriam Bertrand of Katy.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marjorie and Malcolm Beckner.

 

A gathering of Mrs. Robinson’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Wildwood Baptist Church, 100 Wildwood Drive, Wildwood.  Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2012, at Wildwood Baptist Church, with interment to follow at Village Mills Cemetery, under the direction of Broussard’s, Kountze.
