Nolan Hebert

Nolan Hebert, 83, of Nederland, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. Born on October 16, 1928, in Amelia, to Rena Broussard and Lawrence Hebert, he had been a resident of the area since 1962. He was a United States Navy veteran having served during the Korean War. Nolan was employed as an operator with DuPont Chemical before retiring in 1985. Nolan loved music; and often devoted his spare time leading music at churches he was a member of throughout his life. Nolan also enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Hebert; daughters, Judy Hebert of Nederland and Susie Wallace and her husband, Lynn of Buna; son, Ray Hebert, Jr. and his wife, Diane of Nederland; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Douglas Hebert and his wife, Marge of Austin. Nolan is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Alma Morris and Louella Pawdrill. A gathering of Mr. Hebert’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 25, 2012, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 26, 2012, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
