Jerry Lenz, 71, of Winnie, died Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. Born September 4, 1940, in Tracy, Minnesota to Helen Faye Lorenz and Max Harlan Lenz, he had been a resident of the Winnie area since 1966.

Jerry was a United States Air Force veteran having served for eight years.  He was a diesel mechanic and longtime employee with SWAT Construction.

Survivors include his wife, Addie Lenz; daughter, Shauna Giblin and her husband, Kevin of Magnolia; brother, John Lenz and his wife, Ellen of Cottonwood, Minnesota; sister, Lynn Nielson of Worthington, Minnesota; and grandchildren, Jeremy Giblin and Jordan Giblin.

A gathering of Mr. Lenz’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Monday, May 21, 2012, at Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, Winnie.  His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Broussard’s, with his committal to follow at Broussard’s Crematorium.
