Dorothy P. Collins, 85, of Port Neches, died Sunday, May 20, 2012, at her residence.  She was born on September 14, 1926, to Erie and Exie Ener Walker in Crockett, Texas.

Dorothy was a loving mother who enjoyed family get-togethers and caring for grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was an avid storyteller with a wonderful sense of humor.  She always had a handful of chocolate for visitors.  Dorothy also enjoyed fishing and sewing.   

Survivors include her children, Patsy Ronquille of Port Neches, Maryana Kimball and her husband, Bobby of Lumberton, David Collins and his wife, Janet of Port Neches, and Donna McConmick of Port Neches; grandchildren, Tim Johnson, Chris Ronquille, Lisa Kennon, Scott Collins and Eric Collins; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arnal Ray Collins; parents; brothers, Buddy Walker, Pete Walker and Martin Walker; and sister, Mary Alice Bryant.

A gathering of her family and friends will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2012, at Broussard’s, 505 N. 12th Street in Nederland.  Her committal service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, 101 Block Street, Port Neches.
