Kenneth Williams, 71, of Nederland, died Saturday, May 19, 2012, at his residence.  He was born December 8, 1940, to James Allen and Elizabeth Wilson Williams in Silsbee, Texas.  A former resident of Diboll, he had lived in Nederland for the past twenty years. 

He was an active member of Mid County Baptist Church in Nederland and Bridge City Masonic Lodge #1345.  Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Army and a dedicated transporter for Enterprise Trucking for twenty years.  He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and motorcycles.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Williams; sons, Kenneth Williams, Jr. of Beaumont, Lynn Williams and his wife, Linda of Huntington, Russell Harkleroad and his wife, Tracy of Cedar Park; daughters, Suzanne Marie Butler and her husband, Wade of Port Arthur, Debra Sasser and her husband, Daryl of Friendswood, Glenda Staake of Meredosia, Illinois; sisters, Linda Ann Noble and her husband, Murray of Nederland and Jamie Dodd and her husband, Ray of Pasadena; brother, Latrent Smith of Maryland; grandchildren, April Williams, Hunter Williams, Jessica Mothershed and her husband, Lance, Andrew Williams, Joshua Williams, Daniel Morris, Luke Duckworth, Taylor Harkleroad, Hanna Harkleroad, Riley Harkleroad, Jennifer Sasser, Brandon Sasser, Lindsey Colter and her husband, Eric and  Sarah Smith and her husband, Jessie; and six great-grandchildren, Chandler, Cooper, Devon, Erica, Rayena, and Braeydon. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Pat Duckworth.

A gathering of his family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, in Nederland.  Kenneth’s funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Broussard’s, followed by a committal at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County with Masonic Rites.
