Florene Haynes Williams, 90, of Longview, died Monday, May 14, 2012, at her residence.  She was born February 9, 1922, in Evadale, to Hattie Spurlock Smith and Thomas Isom Smith.  Having lived most of her life in Caney Head, she moved to Longview eleven years ago and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Hubert and her husband, Bobby of Winnie, Vivian Guidry and her husband, V.J. of LaMarque, Ruth Gilpin and her husband, Gary of Zion, Illinois, Mary Overton and her husband, Roy of Longview, and Betty Jones and her husband, Steve of Hamilton, Ohio; brother, Nathan Smith of Silsbee; sisters, Bernice Murray of Silsbee and Geneva Snow of Austin; thirty grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Haynes; sons, Raymond Haynes, James Haynes, Clyde Haynes, and Donald Haynes; and daughter, Virginia Nairn.

A gathering of Mrs. Williams’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze.  Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Full Gospel Evangelistic Temple, 14080 FM 2937, Silsbee, with interment to follow at Cunningham Cemetery, Silsbee.
