Margaret “Granny Jack” Overstreet, 93, of Kountze, died Friday, May 11, 2012, at Kountze Nursing Center.  Born September 28, 1918, in Old Town, Florida, to Minnie Kimes Bracewell and Robert Bracewell, she had been a sixty-year resident of Kountze.

Survivors include her children, Clyde “Buddy” Overstreet of Silsbee, James “BoBo” Overstreet of Fred, Rocky Overstreet of Warren, and Doug Overstreet of Shepherd; twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde Iron Overstreet; son, William “Possum” Overstreet; granddaughter, Laurie Ryan; and great-grandchildren, Christopher and Cody.

A gathering of  Mrs. Overstreet’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2012, at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze. Her graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 14, 2012, at Holland Cemetery, Holland Cemetery Road, Kountze.
