Wayne Dillon, 91, of Beaumont, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Calder Woods, Beaumont.

Born July 31, 1920, in Corsicana, Texas, to Mary Elizabeth McMullen Dillon and Henry L. Dillon, he had been a lifelong resident of the Beaumont area. Mr. Dillon retired from Rainbo Baking Company after many years of service; and was a United States Army Air Corps veteran having served in World War II.

Survivors include his sons, Ronnie W. Dillon of Beaumont, and Roger L. Dillon and his wife, Donna of Lumberton; daughters, Kay Eichorn and her husband, John of Charlotte, North Carolina and Carol Bartel and her husband, Mike of Beaumont; grandchildren, Krista Latil and her husband, Jason, Derek Dillon, Joe Eichorn and his wife, Chelsea, Betsy Falls and her husband, Matt, Robby Eichorn, Ben Eichorn, Sarah Bartel and Lorianna Bartel; great-grandchildren, Mallory Latil and Jaden Latil; brother, Carl Dillon of Beaumont; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Margaret Dillon.

A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 7, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at First Christian Church, 5290 North Caldwood Drive, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
