Brenda Gail Savant, 62, of Kountze, died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at her residence. Brenda was born in Call, Texas on July 24, 1949 to Donald and Dorothy (Gilchrist) Ledet. A resident of the Kountze area most of her life, Brenda was a certified medication technician and nursing assistant.

She is survived by her husband, Lee “Preacher” Savant of Kountze; her son, Tony Jack Franklin of Nederland; her daughter, Sally Franklin and her fiance, Steve Freiermuth of Imperial, Missouri; grandchildren, Morgain, Dacoda, Jacob, Gabe, Miguel, Nikayla and Sidney; her brothers, Donley Rodgers and his wife Donna, Ricky Rodgers and his wife Jennifer, Lonnie Rodgers and his wife Mandy; her sisters, Linda Vallee, Vicky Hearn and her husband Randy, Deborah Rodgers; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Broussard’s Crematorium.
