Scott Ford, 54, of Pinewood, died Friday, April 27, 2012. He grew up in Beaumont on the corner of Calder and Pinchback in a two story white house on three acres. Scott was one of seven children born to Watt and Patricia Ford. He and his brothers enjoyed exploring and hunting on the property while perfecting their marksmanship skills. Scott learned the love of hunting and fishing from his father. He also enjoyed baseball, played little league and high school ball, later enjoyed cheering on nephews as they played ball. Scott was a Houston Astros fan. He had many friends who enjoyed just being around him. Scott loved people and would do anything he could to help them. He was selfless. Scott cared mostly for his family and loved God. He was hard working and spent twenty-five years at Beaumont Rice Mills and Jefferson County DD6 for two years. Scott enjoyed working outside where he could be active. One of his favorite places in the world was LaBelle; he loved to hunt and fish in the marsh with his friends Louis and Ben Broussard. He knew the marsh as well as any family member and had fond memories of the duck camp. Scott loved saltwater and freshwater fishing and was happiest when holding a prize catch. Survivors include his wife, Lisa Ford; parents, Patricia and G.W. “Watt” Ford, Jr.; brother, G.W. “Watt” Ford III and his wife, Jennifer, all of Beaumont; sisters, Catharine Sonnenberg and her husband, John of Austin, Ann Shorts and her husband, Will of Fannett, Patricia Nance and her husband, Bobby of Beaumont, and Jean Elrod and her husband, Danny of Hamshire; and sister-in-law, Michea Ford of Hamshire.
