William H. Towns, 70, of Beaumont, died Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont.

He was born September 6, 1941, in Carthage, to Elsie Cherry Towns and Edward Towns, and had been a resident of Beaumont since 1966. William was a United States Army veteran and was a self-employed plumber.

Survivors include his wife of forty-six years, Geraldine Towns; daughters, Rebecca Stephenson and her husband, Kenneth of Austin, and Deborah Asrari and her husband Kianoosh of Tacoma, Washington; grandchildren, William Asrari, Danny Asrari, Sharzhad Asrari, Maryam Reid, Katie Stephenson and Kelly Stephenson; great-grandchildren, Angelisa Tracer and Colton Reid; and brother, Robert Towns and his wife, Mona of Santa Cruz, California.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Ralph Towns and Edward Towns.

A committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
