Lenard W. Williford, 73, of Kountze, died Monday, April 23, 2012, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont.  A native and lifelong resident of Kountze, he was born April 13, 1939, to Susie Ivena (Dowden) and George Algie Williford.  Lenard was a retired ship fitter with Bethlehem Steel in Beaumont and a member of Happy Valley Church in Kountze.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Williford of Kountze; children, Bonnie Carnley, Tammie Haley, Rhonda Hamilton, and Dwayne Williford and his wife, Andy, all of Kountze; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Happy Valley Church, 4069 Villa Rd., Kountze with burial to follow at Fellowship Cemetery in Warren under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze.  A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2012,  at Broussard’s.
