James Doyle Park, Sr., 82, of Pine Ridge, died Monday, April 23, 2012, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born September 4, 1929, to Lorine Moore Park and Jesse Lee Park in Beaumont and was a painter.

Survivors include his children, Jimmy Park, Jr. and his wife Judy, Carolyn LeGros and her husband, Jeffrey, and Sandy Taggart and her husband, David, all of Pine Ridge. His grandchildren are Jessica Thatcher and her husband, Mickey, Trey Park and his wife, Elizabeth, Suzanne Williamson and her husband, Randy, Ryan LeGros, Dr. Amanda Long and her husband, Logan, and Charlie Taggart. His great-grandchildren are Sarah Thatcher, Jillian Sawyer, Sophia Thatcher, Osiris Park, Zachary Williamson, Marissa Williamson, and Clara Joyce Long.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of sixty-two years, Joyce Park.

A gathering of his family and friends will begin at 6:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Broussard’s with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
