Twylia Lynn Altom, 53, of Beaumont, passed away suddenly Friday, April 13, 2012, at her home. She was born in Beaumont on December 11, 1958, to Hubert Altom and Sue MacClane Altom. 

Twylia was a 1977 graduate of Beaumont-Charlton Pollard High School and was so very proud of the friendships she made there. She was employed at R.O. Williams Insurance where her caring and dedication will be missed by all those lives she touched. 

A longtime member of Northwest Church of Christ, her church family was very important to her.  For all of us that were blessed to have her as a part of our lives, she will be remembered as the tiny person with the very biggest of hearts. She was a kind soul that taught us all that even though we all have faults, we should seek out the good in people. She had the uncanny ability to find the very best in everyone and make it shine through. Her love of decorating and entertaining regularly had her home filled with family and friends and she made each of us feel so very important to her.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Twylia is survived by her true love, James Spivey; mother, Sue Altom; brother, Jerry Altom and his wife, Lorrie; niece, Crystal Rogers; nephew, Jarrod Altom and his wife, Sharlotte; great-niece, Esperanza Saldana; and countless relatives and friends that she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her father, Hubert Altom.

A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 16, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  Her funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
