Jeanne Reid Brown, 87, of Kountze, died Thursday, March 22, 2012, at her residence.  She was born February 3, 1925, in Varney County, West Virginia, to Ethel Reid.  Jeanne was a retired cafeteria worker with Hardin Jefferson High School.

Survivors include her children, Mary Ridgeway of Baytown, Gerry Ward of Port Neches, Debra Fred of Ozona, Barbara Sponsler of Leola, South Dakota, and Teresa Cahlik of Kountze; twenty grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Arthur Brown, Sr.; and son, Robert Arthur Brown, Jr.

Her graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Dogwood Cemetery in Kountze under the direction of Broussard’s in Kountze.
